Some movies cannot be played on a hard drive because of the file format they are encoded in. Different movies may be encoded in different formats, such as MP4, AVI, MKV, etc., and not all media players or devices support every format. Additionally, some movies may have digital rights management (DRM) protection, which restricts playback on certain devices or software. In these cases, the movie may require specific software or licensing to be played, which may not be compatible with a standard hard drive setup. **

Recorded movies can be played on a hard drive by transferring the movie file from its original source (such as a DVD or digital download) onto the hard drive. Once the movie file is on the hard drive, it can be played using media player software that is compatible with the file format. Additionally, some hard drives come with built-in media player capabilities, allowing the user to directly play the movie file from the hard drive without the need for additional software. **

When I find a hard kernel in the popcorn at the movies, I usually try to discreetly remove it from my mouth and set it aside. I don't want to disrupt the movie experience for myself or others by making a big deal out of it. If I'm with friends or family, we might share a laugh about it and then continue enjoying the movie. Overall, I try to handle the situation calmly and continue to focus on the film. **

The movies on the hard drive may not be running smoothly anymore due to several reasons. One possible reason could be that the hard drive is running out of storage space, causing the movies to buffer and lag. Another reason could be that the hard drive is fragmented, leading to slower read and write speeds. Additionally, if the hard drive is old or damaged, it may not be able to keep up with the demands of playing high-quality movies smoothly. Regular maintenance and upgrades may be necessary to ensure that the movies run smoothly on the hard drive. **
