The likelihood of theft occurring on crowded subways is generally higher due to the large number of people in close proximity, which can create opportunities for thieves to take advantage of crowded and distracted passengers. The crowded environment can make it easier for thieves to blend in and go unnoticed, and the close quarters can make it difficult for passengers to keep track of their belongings. Additionally, the hustle and bustle of a crowded subway can make it easier for thieves to quickly snatch items and blend into the crowd before being noticed. Therefore, it is important for passengers to remain vigilant and take precautions to protect their belongings while on crowded subways. **
